I'd say that the owner of that painting company has good reason to be upset with his employees with lost a good ladder, but he should be mad at himself for allowing his company to operate that way. The buck stops with management or the owners, in the end. Leadership starts at the top. It was only by good driving and luck that it missed my car. My thought at the time was "if these guys can't even tie a ladder to their truck, what are they going to do to my house??"
